"Walk By Faith, Not By Sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7
It’s silly to think that an article like this won’t affect you because your situation was different. Your parents were divorced, and you didn’t know your dad all too well. But, reading this, as Canon In D comes on your Pandora station brings tears not only to your eyes, but to your heart. It almost catches. For a moment, you are thankful. Thankful that someone else understands. Thankful to hear words other than “I’m so sorry.” Words that have a deeper meaning and understanding. You almost feel at peace, but also incredibly lost in such a big world. To all who have lost a parent, yes, I am so sorry for your lost, but this article sums up even more of what I wish I could put into words so beautifully, and true. Mostly, though, you know that there are others who feel the same, who long for just one more conversation, who want answers.
I encourage you not to loss contact with your parent’s family. In fact, reach out to them. They have pieces
of memories they can pass onto you. I hope that it will give you peace, as it has for me.
