"Walk By Faith, Not By Sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7
As you might have read yesterday, Josh and I took a very unexpected trip to Kentucky this last month. We didn’t bring Tucker along because of the circumstances. However, we were surrounded with puppies non-the-less.
We stayed on a farm where Josh grew up, and where some of his family still lives. The farm has become a slight refuge for family dogs; where they can run, play, and have other dogs to spend time with. A few years ago, Josh adopted a black lab, but had to leave on deployment, so he left him on the farm. So, we decided it was time to bring him home with us this past month, seeing as it has been three years since he was in Florida.
JB is our newest fur baby. He is four years old in dog years, and loves to play catch, if you can get him to drop the ball. Tucker has had some trouble getting used to not being the center of attention, and still tries to be (lots of acting out lately, resulting in negative attention).
What’s great is that having Tucker, who is still just a puppy, has allowed JB to become playful again and actually lose some weight because, let’s face it, he’s a fatty.
They tend to get along the best when they are begging for food, or making mischief. Tucker loves to eat shoes, and JB has caught on as well. We have gotten pretty creative with hiding our shoes.
Overall, we are excited to have two boys, and I am especially excited to share some fun stories and lessons I’ve learned through these amazing animals in the coming weeks.
So, everyone, meet our newest fur baby, JB!
