"Walk By Faith, Not By Sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7

Rain and Blessings “Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.

Today’s verse reminds me of the phrase, “Showered in blessings.” In bible times, people were farmers, relying fully on their crops for food and income. Unlike today, they did not have machines to help them harvest, nor did they have processed food. So, when a great rain came, it was seen as a blessing on a monumental scale. Often times we forget how blessed we are. Be grateful for all the ‘rain’ because every little thing in life is a blessing from God, or a trial to help build our faith. The bible tells us to be glad of trials, because it shows our strength and teaches us to rely on the Lord. Whether the rain is good or bad, let us rejoice.
