Well, the rumors running around the blogging-sphere are true. I did a search on Google News about the revelation of J.K. Rowling’s hidden identity as another author. Interesting, right? I thought I would share with you guys a source from USA Today.
In my personal opinion, I think its great that she can be so versatile and make people believe that she is writing as a man. I don’t mean that as a gender slur, but more a a compliment as a writer. Its shows talent. Not many can come up with believable characters. More so, not everyone can put on a fake identity and still win an award. Good for her! I also agree that it was a great experiment for her to see success without the hype of her name. Harry Potter is a fantastic series, but we need to keep in mind that it is solely that; a series. To put the pressure of another magical tale on her is a little unrealistic, especially if the genre is mystery, or life drama. Of course its not going to be the same. Either way, I think its great she is branching out, whether or not the new titles she writes are one-hit-wonders, top-sellers, or simply end as a dusty book on a forgotten shelf. She is writing, and pursuing her dreams. That right there, friends, is enough inspiration to me.
