"Walk By Faith, Not By Sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7

Our Sympathizer

Good morning, fellow followers! Today’s daily verse on my Bible app is as follows:

http://bible.us/59/HEB4.15.ESV For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

I find this truly amazing because I know that I often feel so ashamed that I would sin so stupidly and that God must be thinking about how insignificant I am. But, the cool thing is that God understands temptation because of Jesus Christ. When God sent his son to live among us and to die on the cross for our sins, that meant that Jesus became flesh. He was given all the fleahly desires and temptations we have. The bible even speaks about the three temptations Satan put before Jesus. However, Jesus, being without sin did not fall into temptation. This doesn’t mean he was without emotion or didn’t feel struggle. He certainly did. Throughout his 33 years here, Jesus cried to God, asking Him why and to take away the pain and sorrow. When Jesus was on the cross, he asked God, “Why have you forsaken me?” And that’s the thing, God does not EVER forget about us. Because of Jesus he understands our struggles and our temptations, but he loves us all the same. Though Jesus never sinned, being perfect, he understands what we are going through and sympathizes with us. He gets it, guys, and he cares for us. If I’m not mistaken, that is some powerful love right there. Despite our flaws and sins, God still loves us and wants to have a relationship with us, and he care about us! How cool is that?!
